Establishing Prison Ministries

We offer quarterly advocacy training sessions for prison ministry staff and volunteers, as well as grief and trauma training for justice-impacted individuals. We also provide training on legislative advocacy and offer support to families preparing for parole board hearings. Our community organizing efforts aim to raise awareness of criminal justice legislation, influence new laws, and highlight select criminal cases.

Our church’s prison ministry services include a range of programs designed to support and address the needs of justice-impacted individuals in the community. These services include establishing a prison ministry, training church volunteers and staff in criminal advocacy, and equipping the church to identify resources, referrals, and reentry needs.

Justice Impacted Individuals and Families

Here at The D.A.P.A. Impact, we get it. We understand that encountering the legal system can be scary, frustrating, and intimidating. That’s why we’ve got your back—we’re here to assist you on your journey through the courts.

Our organization was founded on the fight for fair and equitable sentencing for justice-involved individuals and their families—ensuring that our loved ones receive the same treatment as their white counterparts.

We are here to support you by providing advocacy training and legal knowledge, empowering you to be a strong advocate for your loved one—just as I was for mine! While frustration and setbacks are inevitable when dealing with the court system, staying consistent and being their voice during this time is essential.
